Henstep Thoroughbreds was founded in 2019 by Stephanie Stephen with a clear vision: to create a boutique operation that breeds quality racehorses and provides the highest level of care to Thoroughbreds at every life stage. Starting with a small handful of carefully selected broodmares, Stephanie’s passion for horses and commitment to excellence have been the foundation of Henstep Thoroughbreds’ success.

Today, Henstep Thoroughbreds operates on 80 acres of picturesque and gently undulating terrain just outside of Geelong, Victoria. Nestled in the wake of the You Yangs on gently undulating terrain, our stunning location offers all our horses safe paddocks, a custom-designed stable complex (complete with large rubber-floored boxes, adjoining day-yards, camera surveillance, and misting system), fully enclosed exercise spaces, exercise / hacking track, and guest facilities… only minutes from the heart of Geelong and off the M1. This tranquil setting offers the perfect environment for Thoroughbreds to thrive. Conveniently located near many of Australia’s premier Thoroughbred studs, stallions, and industry experts, our property combines natural beauty with accessibility to the heart of the Thoroughbred industry.
